From a Splash of color... to a creative beaded piece. A Loose Bead Society Challenge!
The challenge is to create a beaded piece using both the color and the name of the paint chip you randomly select. Creations will be judged by the following criteria: a written explanation of how the piece evokes the mood of the color and its name (written description of 100 words or less!), the use of color (at least 20% of the piece should contain your color!), creativity/originality, and technique.
Any member who would like to participate in the color challenge can email VP Special Events and your randomly selected color choice will be mailed to you.
Bring your piece to the July meeting for a chance to be voted the People's Choice!
- LBS will be setting up a Facebook group to encourage communication between members. If you don't have a Facebook page yet, here's a site to help you get started. Facebook is a social-networking site that allows rapid communication. Many businesses such as Lark Books use Facebook. Worried about security? On Facebook you control your privacy levels and you can control who becomes your friend. Facebook - it's not just for kids. (At this point in time, membership will be limited to current members.)
