Bead Society of Greater Milwaukee Board Meeting

Members present:
Rhonda Kutz, Suzanne Leberman, Renee Corya, Cindy Collins, Ann Cook, Debbie
Bednarek Pat Fricano was absent
President’s report:

Rhonda gave a general review of the emergency board of officers meeting
held last week. She clarified the two motions; one of disciplinary action
regarding a member and the other involving the membership chairperson. She will
be sending a letter out to the membership explaining the situation.

Foxden and Funky’s Hannah’s want corporate forms; Cindy will take
care of this.
Vice President- Programming’s report:
-
The committee required approximately $120 for supplies for the May
“Bead Soup” program. Plans for the program are being finalized by the
committee.

The June program still needs planning but all is set for July and August.
Vice President- Special Event’s report:
-
Suzanne will handle the money for the table at the Bead and Button show
for the raffle and package check Wednesday through Saturday. The denim shirts
will be on sale for a markdown price of $15. Cindy is handling the printing of
the raffle tickets. Rhonda is handling the raffle items from Rob and Knot Just
Beads.
Secretary’s report:

Debbie apologized ahead of time for being absent for the May meeting; she
will be out of town.
Treasurer’s report:
- Ann
gave the monthly report; we have $2,182.77 in the account as of May 1.
- There retreat had a $149 deficit this year.

All is fine; Pat is adding volunteers for the Bead and Button booth as
they come in.
Newsletter:
-
Cindy needs all newsletter articles by May 23rd.

Cindy checked various places for printing; Print Graphix is the best
deal.

Debbie Bednarek will edit/proof the next newsletter for Cindy.
Discussion on membership chair position now
that Julie is no longer the chair. Will need to “advertise” to the
membership that Suzanne’s vice president of special events position will also
be open for 2009.
